This was truly a fun experience. Having worked for the WWE a few times for other projects, I was able to talk with the creative director about doing a Wet Plate Portrait series of some of today’s most electric fighters out there. Talk about personalities! These were shot over a two day period at two different Arenas. My team and I drove out to the Arena and we set up shop in the Loading dock. You could hear the crowd just outside of where we were just going crazy. Once they were done wrestling, they came out one by one to shoot their portraits. As Wet Plate images take about 8 to 10 minutes for each plate to prep/shoot/develop/fix, there wasn’t much room for error and I did not get that many shots per person. 1 to 3 images max of each one.
